"can now definitively say, don’t get your hopes up, my best years & work are clearly behind me"

Charles Bissell on the new The Wrens album. YA YOU KNOW HOW TO SELL IT. of course it’s exactly that outlook that made Meadowlands so fucking good, so.. I’m ok with it.

sabinalindemann:

HI FRIENDS!

I’m currently facing some financial stress in the form of emergency vet bills in order to save my little cat Kingsfield. We’re going for an emergency ophthalmologist appointment tomorrow morning, and may need surgery ASAP depending on how that appointment goes… and at the moment, I’m pretty strapped for cash. I’ve only had Kingsfield a few months, but he is a beautiful, loving cat and I feel like I’ve had him forever. He has such a warm heart and I can’t imagine having to let him go.

SO with that all said, I’m opening digital character commissions at $10, $15, and $30 in order to save up some money for the vet bills. All I’d need from you is a description of what you’d like! I’m pretty open to all sorts of characters and ideas! Contact me at sabinalindemann@gmail.com if you’d like to order a commissioned character design to support my little Kingsfield’s trips to the vet. Payment is via PayPal.

Thanks so much for your time, folks. <3 If you’re interested, please email me, and if not, it would mean a lot to me if you could reblog, and give this post a bit of a boost. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to email me!

If we had Dutch-style intersections, we’d ride our bikes everywhere, too

Urban planner Nick Falbo wants U.S. engineers to borrow a trick from the Dutch: Keep the bike lanes on the curb side of parked cars, and then add an island in front of the parking lane in the intersection so that turning cars are forced to give cyclists a little more space.

Just watch what he means.
